This weekend Dunlop Romanian Superbike moved to Pannonia – Ring, Hungary for its 4th round. The track is situated 60km from the Hungarian city Gyor and no more than 100km from Austria’s capital Wien. There are more than 250 participants at this double race event. Both classes, Superbike and Supersport, had 2 races this weekend, Supersport racing Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, Superbike racing both times on Sunday. There was a very important documentary filmed at this event, showing racing life and everything that goes with it. The film will be released later this year. Both Superbike races were won by the champion, Ionut Mistode, followed by Amckart Racing team pilot Daniel Vargolici. The podium was the same with Mistode on 1st, Vargolici on 2nd and Zsigmond 3rd. In the Supersport races were a lot of action with IDM front rider David Linotner winning the first race and Taifun Racing Timisoara pilot Catalin Cazacu finishing second. Another austriac rider, Lukas Schuberg, won the second round with a small advance on Catalin Cazacu. The 3rd spot on the podium was filled by Lukas Schuberg in the first race and Stefan Popescu for the second race. |
